Classroom Gardens at AALC

The classroom gardens are located outside of each classroom around the property.  Each class helps maintain their garden area.  Some contain herbs, others flowers, vegetables and even wildlife.  Mrs. King's Early Primary class had an exciting winter recently when a family of voles could be seen burrowing under the snow right outside the classroom window.

The classroom gardens are maintained at the teacher's discretion.  For example, Ms. Wilt's class cares for a forest floor garden, while Ms. Ackerman's students maintain a river bed garden.
